I would buy here again in a heartbeat. Outstanding all the way around.
If the FedEx guy decided to launch the package from his moving vehicle like a paperboy, the 50+ feet to my front step, I'm convinced the phones would have survived (he didn't of course). Items shipped FAST, Items arrived with each component (base, handset, AC adapter, cord)INDIVIDUALLY wrapped in tissue paper, packaging paper, AND layers of Bubble Wrap.
I have never had such outstanding customer service, even on brand new warrantied items. Phones were in the stated condition, no more than very minor wear from normal day to day use.
And when it turned out that the intercom only worked one way on one of the phones, Brenda(arden33) was in attentive email communication, from providing technical support on what setup issues would cause the intercom not to function, down to promptly providing a replacement when we determined it was an internal problem. Most sellers here are decent enough, but it's when a problem arises that you see what they are really made of.

Yes this is a discontinued model but not that old and this lack of support raises concern for the current line of products from Thompson, GE and RCA - once they become discontinued are they to be junked. Manufacturer's web site is utterly useless.
I was hoping to be able to obtain it somewhere as well as an user's manual. I bought this phone used and it had missing AC adapter.
This telephone uses very unique power supply - 6VAC there is no way to find it anywhere. What a major disappointment - you'd expect that product from such a major manufacturer would have parts available everywhere, first class support, web site with all kinds of information - well.
forget it. Customer service 800 numbers are backed up, representatives based i India or who knows where and offer very limited help if any, most likely they will send you to a Sears or RadioShack store.
I know one thing - I won't take chances and stay clear of this manufacturer's line of products.
The voice quality is great. Many comments have already been made on this product. I can add a couple here:Clarity: I'm on conference calls all the time. Unlike other speaker phones I used before, I can talk hands-free without people complaining about voice quality.Volume: You can turn up volume really loud if you want to, -- a plus if you have to step away from the phone during conference calls.Overall, the unit meets my expectation. And that's NOT a plain statement, because many phones have failed.
I have a small business (4 employees) and we really didn't need an actual phone system yet so I decided to give these try. It's funny though because when people walk in the office, they think it is a phone system because the phones look and function very well. I have had them for about 4 months now and so far so good.
IF YOU ARE GOING TO USE HOLD FEATURE OFTEN, RUN AWAY. CHECKED WITH SUPPORT AND THERE SEEMS TO BE NO WAY OF DISABLING THIS ANNOYING "FEATURE".OTHERWISE HAS ALL BASIC FUNCTIONALITY THAT YOU CAN EXPECT FOR A SMALL BUSINESS PHONE.
